Ok y’all, give a little love to my new friend Mr. Mummy. He’s a bit tied up at the moment or he would say hello back. haha Boy, I crack myself up sometimes. My sweet friend Susan did something similar and I have seen it on Pinterest so I thought I would bring Mr. Mummy to life in Tucker Hill. To create this easy DIY mummy front door decoration, you will need toilet paper, googly eyes and transparent tape. THAT’S IT!

When you are thinking of decorating a space, whether it be inside or out, where do you get your inspiration? For me, I always look to nature for outside inspiration and for interior inspo, I tend to shop my house and pull ideas from those things. I enjoy laying things out on the floor and then just piecing things together until I feel like it fits my style (which is ever evolving).

When it came to doing this mummy door, the first thing I did was place the eyes on the door. That way we could see where to put all the paper and not cover the eyes up.

After I put the eyes on, I simply tore strips of toilet paper and went in a kind of messy pattern across and back, taping it to the sides of the door.

This seriously may be the very easiest decor idea ever! What a fun way to spruce up your front door without going out and spending tons of money. This project literally cost me $2 for the googly eyes. Now, the ones I have linked here are a little more but they come with a few sets. I bought mine at the dollar spot at Target. I bought 5 sets though and also put them in my bushes. So cute!

While we are talking about Halloween decor, what are some Halloween memories you have from when you were a kid? Were you big into dressing up? Did you go trick or treating? Did you go to church carnivals? I dressed up one year like E.T. I was obsessed with E.T! I was so proud of my costume! Also, it was a big deal for us to go to our churches fall carnival. It was such a blast! There were so many booths with games all set up. We also had a carnival at school that coincided with homecoming and that was a ton of fun. After the carnival, we had family bingo in the FFA building. We played bingo until like 12 or 12:30am and there we so many fun prizes to win. I remember winning a REO Speedwagon cassette tape and I was in heaven! LOL This were the days friends!

On another note, if you are looking for some other great DIY projects I have DIY Aged Terra Cotta Pots, DIY Vintage Wall Art, DIY Fall Wreath, and here are 15 more amazing halloween decor ideas.

I hope you are able to do this simple DIY mummy front door decoration and it brings you joy each time you open the front door. Mr. Mummy says bye and have a great day y’all!
